National Book Lovers Day: 4 books to inspire the young girl in your life

Today is August 9th, which means a brand-new school year is right around the corner. What better way to celebrate that than with National Book Lover's Day? We have some book recommendations for this month that will get your young queens fired up, excited and inspired over the next nine months.

1. Dream Big, Little One by Vashti Harrison

Dream Big, Little One by Vashti Harrison

This book follows 18 inspiring and trailblazing women throughout history, and is a perfect book to encourage big dreams and goals. In a world where people might not want to listen, it's important to stand up for what you believe in, and that requires courage.

2. Who Will You Be? by Andrea Pippins

Who Will You Be? by Andrea Pippins

it takes a village to raise a child, and everyone who interacts with your girls have an impact on her life, no matter  how small. This book explores that part of growing up, and shows how beautiful it can be when children take on traits of those around them.

3. Mae Among the Stars by Roda Ahmed, illustrated by Stasia Burrington

Mae Among the Stars by Roda Ahmed, illustrated by Stasia Burrington

Another book about following your dreams even when others don't believe in you. Mae wanted to go to space, and she was discouraged when adults around her told her to 'come back to Earth'. Let Mae teach your girls to not give up; anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Beautiful Curly Me Book

And of course, we can't forget Beautiful Curly Me, written by Zoe Oli. Written by a young girl to empower other young girls, there's no better book to get their dreams and ambitions flowing and to inspire them to love who they are inside and out.

Happy reading!
