As we reflect on 2025, we are filled with gratitude and pride. This was a year that reminded us why the work of empowering Black daughters matters so deeply. Through products, programs, partnerships, and perseverance, Beautiful Curly Me continued to show up for girls and families who believe in confidence, representation, and possibility.
This year was not without challenges, but because of our community, we made an impact all year long.
Why 2025 Was a Defining Year for Beautiful Curly Me
Confidence in girls often begins to decline at an early age, which is why representation in toys, books, and leadership spaces is so important. Our mission is rooted in helping raise confident Black girls who know their voice, their value, and their power.
In 2025, we stayed focused on that mission by creating Black girl empowerment tools that support positive identity development, self-love, and leadership.

This year, we proudly launched confidence-building resources designed to meet girls where they are and grow with them.

Confident Girls Lead Blank Journal

Each product was created to support self-love for Black children and reinforce the message that they are capable, confident, and worthy.

Celebrating Zoe: Black Girl Leadership in Action
2025 was a milestone year for our founder, Zoe. She turned 13 and began high school, marking a new chapter in her leadership journey.
Her accomplishments included being a Leadership & Impact Award winner in middle school, earning Straight A+ grades, joining the tennis team, and serving as a Junior Prefect. Zoe’s journey continues to inspire families raising confident daughters and reinforces the importance of surrounding girls with positive role models.

Recognition & Awards That Honored Our Mission
We were deeply honored to receive recognition that affirmed our commitment to empowering Black girls.
These honors included the National Black Child Development Institute Toy Award, being named a Business Honoree at the 10th Annual You Awards International, receiving the 2025 Georgia State University Excel Leadership Award, and being selected for the Licensing International Accelerator.
Each milestone reminded us that purpose-driven brands rooted in representation truly matter.

Speaking Engagements & Media Features
In 2025, our message reached families nationwide through more than 10 national and local speaking engagements. Highlights included keynote appearances at the Black Girl Magic Conference in Madison, Wisconsin, Microsoft BAM, The Links STEM Conference, I Luv My Hair Clinic, SIB Wealth Building, and the NMC Youth Conference.
We were also featured on Portia, The Wall Street Journal, CBS, Roland Martin, and more, helping amplify conversations around representation in toys and raising confident Black girls.

Retail Growth, Museums & Representation in Action
Beautiful Curly Me expanded into more than 10 specialty retail stores and launched new partnerships with museums and retailers that value inclusive storytelling.
One of our proudest moments was seeing Bella featured at the National Museum of Toys & Miniatures, honoring her legacy of confidence, joy, and representation for generations to come.

Confident Girls Lead Club: Hosting Inspiring Leadership Events
In 2025, we hosted inspiring events through our Confident Girls Lead Club, a leadership and empowerment club for girls ages 8–12. One of our favorite moments was Cupcakes & Confidence, a joyful gathering filled with affirmations, connection, and confidence-building activities. It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful it is when girls and parents come together in a supportive space.
We also hosted a Mommy & Me Tea Party, creating a special space for girls and caregivers to connect, reflect, and celebrate confidence together. Both events reflected the heart of the Confident Girls Lead Club: nurturing leadership, self-belief, and community in every girl we serve.

Bella’s Last Holiday: Honoring a Legacy
One of the most emotional and meaningful moments of 2025 was Bella’s Last Holiday. Bella has been more than a doll. She has been a first-best friend, a mirror, and a reminder to thousands of girls that they are beautiful just as they are.
As we honored Bella’s final holiday season, we celebrated her lasting legacy of representation, confidence, and joy. Bella helped open doors, spark conversations, and build confidence in girls who finally saw themselves reflected in their toys. Her impact will continue to live on through the girls she inspired and the mission she helped build.

Giving Back Through Youth Mean Business
Through our nonprofit arm, Youth Mean Business, we continued investing in the next generation of leaders.
In 2025, we supported eight youthpreneurs with $6,000 in grants and coaching. To date, $35,000 in grants have been awarded to young entrepreneurs. Empowering youth today helps build confident leaders for tomorrow.

Supported by Community Through a Challenging Year
2025 brought real challenges, but community support carried us through. Because of your encouragement and belief in our mission to build confidence in Black girls, we were able to keep showing up.
We were grateful to connect with families at the Bullseye Holiday Market and Truist Park Holiday Pop-Up, sharing empowering dolls and books rooted in representation. We were also honored to be invited by Pastor Jamal Bryant to share our story with the New Birth Church congregation, a meaningful reminder that this work is about faith, purpose, and community.
Your support made impact possible all year long.

Dollsgiving: Gifting Confidence to Underserved Girls
One of the most meaningful moments of 2025 was our annual Dollsgiving initiative. Together, we gifted more than 500 dolls to underserved girls, planting seeds of confidence, self-worth, and joy that will grow for years to come.
This is what community-powered impact looks like.

Thank You for Supporting Our Mission
Because of you, we were able to build confidence in Black girls, expand our reach, and make a meaningful impact throughout 2025. Every purchase, share, and word of encouragement helped us keep going.
As we look ahead, we are excited to continue supporting families who are committed to parenting confident daughters and raising the next generation of changemakers.
